Had I known how wonderful this family was, I never would have been so nervous to shoot my first-ever baptism at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Waldorf. I mean, I had a pretty good idea that his family would be nice because my good friend Genelle is this beautiful baby’s Godmother, but I wasn’t prepared for the genuine kindness that is just natural to this family. You really can see it in their eyes and their smiles… Before the ceremony we did some beautiful, traditional family shots, and during the service (I was required to remain in my seat) I captured the quiet but jubilant faces all around me. We even had a chance to get a few shots after the service! Editing their photos has been a pleasure — I get to see those amazing eyes and radiant smiles all over again! And that baby…oh, so sweet! This little girl is a doll… And clearly loved! Family came together from near and far to be here for her important day. It’s a significant and meaningful time in her life and her remarkable family knew it called for celebration! Thank you, Genelle, for believing in me and trusting me to document this special day for your Goddaughter, and thank you to the family for showing me such awesome grace. I hope you enjoy your photos!
